Part 1: Add the Braintrust App to a Space
Before any expert can be used in a group Space, the BrainTrust app must be installed in that Space.Open Google Chat
Go to chat.google.com or open Google Chat from Gmail.
Open Space settings
Click the Space name at the top to open settings, then go to Apps & integrations.
Success:
/help returns a response in the group Space, and @BrainTrust is now a mentionable app.Part 2: Add Your Expert to the Space
Once the app is in the Space, use/add to bring in a specific expert by its email address.
Confirm prerequisites
- You have already hired the expert in DM.
- The expert has no pending configuration warnings.
- BrainTrust app is active in the Space (Part 1 above).
Run /add in the Space
Type You should see:
/add followed by the expert’s email address:"Added researcher-bot to this space."Useful Commands

Important Behavior
- Experts in a group Space run using the credentials of the person who added them.
- Removing an expert from a group Space does not un-hire it from your DM.
- Messages without
@BrainTrustare not routed to experts.
